Can anybody recommend exhaust workshop? I blew a hole in mine so need to change. Current is original h22a exhaust? Any better upgrade?

JFA at sunway or pandan indah maybe?

i've heard/seen H22A with super drager. deep, but quite loud after VTEC. if you prefer subtle/quiet, try some euro brands like supersprint, etc

I'm currently running on 2.2" RSR straight & 'senget' piping (from nenas till the muffler). Damn quite exhaust i guess. Moreover, i very seldom open vtec one. Maybe that y the sound very soft kot!.

Hi aja. Ya ka. I am looking for a quiet exhaust too but how about the sound when vtec opens. Prefer to hear vtec more than the exhaust......

Vtec sounds not so loud when opened. Actually, as we all know, for 2.0cc & above Vtec, the vtec sound not as 'garang' as B16/B18. Even K20 also very2 hard to hear the 'praaaaaa' (vtec open) sound. Cause it's i-vtec i think.

But, yet it still depends on exhaust setting also...

Like my case, consider ok lah. Don't bother much, as long as still can rev to 78++ & can go here & there, considered ok already for stock standard 1.3 ton car!.

I bought the RSR exhaust at PJ & asked the exhaust shop (located infront of friend's workshop) in S. Alam to install it for me.

BTW, i'll still have with me my previous exhaust system. Actually it just like < 1month old already. Still looks like new. customised 2.2" piping (from nenas) & 1 mid bullet. Rear muffler don't have. I got 2 options actually, either to sell it or keep it. If got buyer, then i sell it. If not just keep it la. My selling price is RM250.00 only.

BTW, what HOnda car model are u driving now?.

Is yr current setup better than yr customised 2.2" piping? Can u recommend me wat setup best? I got 2 mid bullet but i think still noisy but feel like changing.

I hv a SM4. What about u?

Don't know which one better actually (current setup Vs. Customised), cause my first intention was to look for rear muffler. At last end-up with buying RSR full exhaust set-up.

Maybe ur set-up could be i mid bullet & rear muffler like Tanabe etc. If manual, better go for straight flow. I auto, then go S-flow. But latest with technology on branded muffler, S-flow also good for manual transmission. Bare in mind, u still have to look for a branded one if u want a quieter & bassy sound. Normal/Cap Ayam brand can't last long & not well perform.

Ohhh, u driving Acccord also. Do join us at HAVOC forum. BTW, i'm driving CF4 Euro R.

Do u know the estimated price If i chg the full exhaust setup (not manifold la). What are the brands in the market to have a quieter/softer sound?

U r in HAVOC forum as well? I liked yr model. I am drivin a manual. Where to u send yr car for service/modification? Do u hv a good mechanic?

I heard that pple say 2" exhaust is a good set up for our engines. Is that true? I not sure coz different pple say different things. Aiyaa.....

h22a,
YEr la. Some say 2". Other say 2.3" or 2.5" (too big for NA i guess).
As for me, i just use 2.2". Moreover the RSR exhaust model i'm using is solely cater for my car, just plug & play. Sure they already calculated the power max output right?.

As for the Estimated price, last time my customised 2.2" with 1 mid bullet cost me RM400. Rear muffler u can look for Tanabe Madelion, Apex'i N1 or HKS Drageer. All if brand new quite $$$ la.(Price range between Rm1k-RM2k new) Just look for 2nd one enough. Got few for sale last time, under CLASSIFIED Section.

I send my car to my friend/pomen workshop in S. alam, since i live in S. Alam also. Hopefully he is a good mechanic la, so far so good. Kira ok lah la tu.

Aja, do u hv picture of yr exhaust? Izit suitable for SM4?

h22a,
I don't have the picture now, cause the customised piping at my pomen workshop. Tomorrow i'll try to snap a pic la. BTW, Don't know can fit or not inside SM4, cause the customised piping follow the original CF4 route. But can try, of course.

h22a,

yeah JFA does cekik darah a bit with labor price. Even with the muffler itself if you buy it from them. I think best bet still kedai potong for parts, and then survey around for good installation prices. I think honda guys from HAVOC/HCOC can help you out. Im quite a newbie also....

i think with the increasing fuel prices we'll all be opening vtec less and less everyday.

any honda lepak groups i can join in sometime?

anyone here running H22A with V-AFC2? need tuning tips! :D

i just wondering jpj/polis doesnt 'kacau' ka if we modify the piping.

Some of them told that if you make a straight or 'senget' piping u'll get summon. how about if the muffler sound is not loud? how bout if we use the standard piping with 5" muffler?

i still dont understand they'll summon based on what in particular.
