I'm not an expert, but I heard it depends on the person who is going to install and calibrate/configure. And most important how they dynotune.
What is your ride?

I'm driving a Stream 2.0...I'm just curious the tuner said he wont use the dyno machine tune for me coz he didt have that machine, he just use a note book tune for me... is that works???

just worry after tuning, it will cause my car any problem...Haizzz...

The most important is i live at Penang, Butterworth....Cant find a expert tuner or tune shop at here.... the tuner i'm going to meet him oso introduce by my fren.... blah blah blah say he is the best in Butterworth.... dunno can beleive or not...

anyone can teach me wat can i do now???????

Hmm... I have never heard anyone tune without dyno or similar tools. Most probably he copied the setting from other Stream and install/configure onto your e-manage.

Why do you need it? I thought Stream 2.0 is already powerful enough. I don't know any good workshop in Penang or your area. I'm in Selangor. What about getting your ride over and do a proper dynotune, I think the cost is same around RM2100-2200 here. Dynotune may cost you another RM100-200 I guess.

Careful about this Dynotune things, I also heard that some engine blows off. Look for the right workshop and get as much opinion (from the right guy too).

Sure Stream is a powerful MPV, but since i install a set of 17" taiwan heavy rim, it become very slow motion( i mean the engine) even i step full gas oso cannot over take a Satria 1.3(modified exhust n filter) when we stop at traffic light. :emoticon_U:

Bro, This modification will void my warranty that Honda give me?

bro... don push urself so hard la... rm2200 for e-manage...? normally the tuner use 2 notebooks for e-manage itself n wideband lambda reading... if u saying the gadget will become damager, for me totally wrong... it's depend on the TUNER... even kia picanto has a great result by safc...

2200 for brand new emanage? that one for ultimate or normal one?
dun worry, u wont regret if buy emanage. if regret can sell it back fast... haha

tell you what, come down kl when you have time and opportunity, n find the best offer.

rm2200 for normal e-manage is kinda on the high side, but if ultime ok la

find a good tuner and you surely can feel the difference plus dyno it to prove that performance has improved..... sometimes butt dyno is useless..... unless you butt got mechanical reading output... haha

anyhow, it's a good product, you can manipulate and tune on fuel ratio, timing advance and retard and also bla bla bla....get online to find more.... hehe

mie... add summore what the ultimate can do....

tamak also never mind if your ride can give hella good performance....

Sir, i know its very expensive but....dunno how to describe....i'll think about go KL install...so did any tune shop introduce??? and the location???

erm... correct me if i'm wrong. but i see that the software provided by the e-manage can easily hang!! experiences from seeing my friends' car la. is that normal? or maybe the new ultimate e-manage doesn't have that problem anymore? i see apexi vafc is easier to tune. just my 2 cents..

achor.....

i dunno bout the hang thing..... but if u suggest vafc, our friend here is just gettinh half of what e-manage can do. to gel all function he got to find itc...... why put two equipment if you can have all in one package

bout the hang thing..... even if so, surely the ecu will revert to it's original map table at that time

i just confirm wit the tuner, its just the blue cover E-manage....bout the ultimate he quoted me 5k include install n setting havent discount la...

Bro,
Acutually i've think bout the VAFC2 but i oso got some bad for it, the performance is good, just after install have to worry always coz afraid some Madafacka will break in car than stole it....this is the bigger reason i dun want VAFC2....

like this, the concept is just like e-manage. you fit in your car and hide them, so nobody would know and you will be happy and not worry.

but the sad thing is, vafc got nice display that that you want to see al the time. ur pick either to hide them or put it in places that can be seen

E-manage – what it is and what it isn't

The Greddy E-manage is a simple fuel computer designed for Japanese
automobiles. The intended purpose is to allow the user to fine-tune
the fuel curve of the vehicle to take advantage of various
modifications to the car.

There are many additional options for the E-manage, allowing the user
to put together a system that suits their needs.

In its most basic form, the E-manage alters the primary airflow input
to the car's ECU. By increasing or decreasing this signal, the ECU
will alter the amount of fuel going into the engine.

While the E-manage is very powerful and flexible, a full stand-alone
ECU is even more powerful. A stand-alone ECU replaces the entire fuel
injection system with one that's designed to be easily programmable by
a laptop computer. This gives the ultimate in flexibilty, but with a
steep learning curve and a LOT of work required to tune in the fuel map
properly. It's hard to say at what point it's wiser to go with a
stand-alone than a piggyback computer (ie the E-manage) – it really
depends on how good the car's ECU is to begin with, the amount of
modifications, etc. If nothing else, the E-manage makes for a great
stepping stone before going to a full stand-alone – you can learn to
tune the car while having the factory fuel map to fall back on.

e-Manage is an inexpensive programmable fuel management system that allows you to properly tune your factory fuel system without having to change the entire factory ECU system to an expensive "stand-alone" unit. The e-Manage system is a universal "piggy-back" type unit which taps into most Japanese factory ECU wiring, by utilizing the existing sensors. Basic functions will allow the user to slightly alter factory injector duty-cycle (± 20% at 5 preset RPM points) by intercepting and altering airflow or MAP sensor signals. For Honda VTEC cars you can adjust the VTEC shift point. Additional features are built into the system but are only accessible through the use of the e0-1 programmer or our PC-Windows based "e-Manage Support Tool" communication software (Please see our Authorized GReddy Support Dealers for more information). There is a 16x16 airflow adjustment map, larger main injector correction adjustment, upgrade air flow meter adjustment, boost limiter cut, anti-engine stall, VTEC-fuel adjustment, real-time map trace, real-time display, real-time communication and basic Data-logging. With the use of our "Optional Injector Harness" and the software, the unit has the ability to control an additional 16x16 injector duty cycle map and the controls for adding up to 2 additional sub-injectors. If the "Optional Ignition Harness" and the software are used the unit has the ability to control a 16x16 ignition timing map. All of the above maps can also be map-traced in real-time as well. If the factory range of map or airflow meter is surpassed, you can incorporate our "Optional GReddy Pressure Sensor and Pressure Harness" to set larger scales of adjustment. All installation and tuning should only be made by a trained technician with proper air/fuel monitoring tools. (Some functions may not be compatible with some applications.)

and this one for the ultimate model

Ideal for optimizing and fine-tuning performance products such as; Exhaust, Air Intake, Intercoolers, Boost Controllers and Turbo upgrades, the e-manage Ultimate does it better than any other system on the market. The GReddy e-manage Ultimate does what no other piggyback ECU can, engineered to preserve the best features of the original e-manage (Economically priced, there is no need for tuning from scratch and it is compatible with most Japanese performance vehicles). Some of the new Ultimate features include; add and subtract fuel and ignition maps, a two-preset memory, A/F Target Map (for self tuning), built-in adapters and correction maps, and extensive data logging with Map Tracing for easier tuning. The new e-manage Ultimate includes the Support Tool CD to access all features from a standard USB cable.

all these thingy (emanage, hondata, etc) they all get the reading from what ah?...our car's existing sensors issit?....what if our car's sensor like O2 sensor, MAP sensor, etc all old oledi, as old as the car (my car ler that's it), and not giving accurate reading anymore?...do we need to change all them sensors too, or the unit can compensate all the inaccuracy?....
