ok here's my experience with a used car dealer that i recently bought my putra from. they promised to fix all the stuff that i've stated on a long list ok. and one of the things they will fix first would be the gearknob and floor mats...ok fine they sent me to their accessory shop near leisure mall (5 mins drive from the dealer) then they changed the mats. quite happy with the mats. ok fine....now moving on to the gear knob.

i looked around their glass cabinet(display) looking for reasonabaly good looking gear knob to replaced the really worn putra momo. found one fake momo (rm115) alluminium that comes in red/blue colour (i'm thinking it's fake cause momo's don't come cheap anyway) so i told him i want that one.

but before that, he was on the phone with the salesman who sold me my car, then he showed me this 'Gara gearknob' it looked like crap honestly but then i told him i want the momo. so he said he has to speak to the car salesman.

so he talks and then passes the phone to me, and the car salesman was going on like "it's our company policy that you can't change to something that nice, we can only replace with something that fits the company budget for fixing the car (in other words the cheapest for you blardy fools la!)" so i was like telling him i'll top up to get the momo and he said no cannot, cause he doesn't know the price and went on about policy again.

so anyway, the ugly knob was fixed and i was on my way to sunway to get a better one which i will get personal satisfaction from than dealing with those sales bastards back at the dealer la. however, the moment i shifted to reverse, the top part of the knob moved out of place! (you'll see later in the pics)

i got out of the car and showed the worker who fixed the knob for me and he took it out came back and told me he'd put super glue on it and that i should let it dry before putting my palm back on it (stupid, how to shift properly!)

so fine, i dealt with it and drove off, was really pissed off already.

anyway, after making my way to sunway, i went down to ksp power to get a ralli art knob and was telling guy at the counter my story and when one of the other guys went out to fix in the knob, i showed him my 'detachable' gear knob he laughed. haha. shit man....talk about shitty products.

anyway, just view the pics for your personal pleasure. :D

thought this was some shitty product, however, i saw this brand for sale at eneos today....not saying that eneos sells shitty stuff but i honestly don't recommend anything from 'Gara' as their designs are tacky and really poor quality...as you've just witnessed.

those fellas at GARA DIYed it themselves and are selling it to consumers.

yup, brand new, price is rm45 wor somemore....for a block of wood i can make in kemahiran hidup workshop haahh.

keep laughing. i didn't have to pay a sen so i don't care care.

super cool la..
if i were you, i just drive back to the car sales man... ask him, is the company policy / budget just enough to buy u a gearknob that can self detach??

tell him that even a kancil gearknob doesn't have that problem...

be as sarcastic as possible... sure that fella boring only
better still, you pass him the super glue and tell him keep it for next time, sure can use for his other customer too.... ;)

hehehe..sure a cheapo gear knob....or it is a damaged gear knob that gave it to u.....

i also dunno la. he was saying budget only rm300 to fix up damages. but he's still got alot to fix up. don't feel like going back to them cause they might simply do up the car and end up screwing it up more...like the gearknob hahaha.
