what about ur cars fuel consumption...
just want to ask....
coz i plan to buy either charade aura or kancil then converted it to turbo engine..

You want to buy new car then convert it to Turbo..Better don't..Ask Cekelat because his fren want to let go his Charade GTTi for only RM8 ribu!!! You know the current price for GTTi? Above RM10K - RM13 K..RM8K is real bargain!

About fuel consumption, ok la for standard GTTi..If you want to go faster, you need to spend money for fuel..That's it..

Ask otais here espeacially Speed Demon and Cateye..They will answer you question..Buy GTTi cz it is bigger yet more powerful..!!

Hi there,

Previously, i'm using CB23/G100/ Charade Aura (1.0M, 1989). And i'm planning to convert to GTti..What type of daihatsu you are planning to have G200 or G100?..Nothin' much i do on the car to improve its performance..except changing the timing belt & sport rim to 15" & add 2 air compression gadgets (reduce fuel consumption)... My comments on the car based on my experience...

ADVANTAGES OF CB23
1. Low fuel consumption
2. Engine temperature is very low..even though driving for about 2 hours non-stop
3. Nice/solid/strong body chasis - design still looks nice
4. Much more spacious (inside) compared to kancil & even kelisa


DISADVANTAGES OF CB23
1. Less/low in pick-up/ torque
2. When reaching 120km/h, the chasis & interior parts starting to shake a little bit..
3. Halfcut only for GTti engine (CB70 EFI 1.0M Turbo Intercooler), is quite expensive, around RM3k + (not inclusive of labour charge), compared to L2 or L5 mira, which is much cheaper...


Conclusion, if you one more space choose charade & if you want just a compact car, choose kancil..However both models can be upagraded into turbo charge version...

ishh.. why that gtti halfcut are quite pricey?
u said that at 120 km/h the chasis start to shaking.
will this happen with gtti engine?anybody know the price for 4e hafkat..
i think kancil was very scary to drive at high speed....

- GTti (CB70) should be no shake maa.....since the engine tahan lasak so goes the price...GTti can go 180km/h - 200km/h according to the otais.. No problem in getting approval from JPJ..since same CC maa..
- CB23 is shaky at 120km/h...
- 4E hafkat, if i'm not mistaken...is around RM1800-RM2000...According to otais, if want to take that hafkat, mounting to the chasis must be changed....And nowadays it is hard to get approval from JPJ for different engine in different car....

GTti bodypart ,u means body kit...can get at any chop shop..or u may just go to pandan indah...
There is fibre shop in kajang where u can ask the tokei to do fibre bodykit such as the side skirts which are similar like original GTti skirts...much cheaper..
Currently, there are many gtti fan club in the net....outside on the road i'm not sure...If daihatsu fans ....there are plenty..
4E FC not sure..
Currently, driving cb23 & planning to convert to GTti ...since the engine can be regarded as the fastest 1000cc engine in its category...

Standard GTti fuel consumption will be around 300km for one full tank. If on the highways will be much more.

my previous charade has no problem even traveling at 170km/h.

anyway..the FC for my cb23 is good 400-450km/rm40

Izit? sory alantan...i agree with your point that ur previous cb23 is not as shaky as mine while reaching 120km/h.. I think you really took care of ur car cb23 maintenance ..good bro... Need to learn from u...can maa?

Ayam demam, i'm not yet convert to gtti...just planning to do so...since my current cb23 has a lot of problem...one of it shaky at 120km/h...sometime i can smell the petrol from inside my car.. This always happen everytime i reignite my key for the 2nd time after few hour.. E.g. I go to shopping park my car. Then, by the time i heading home (5mins later).. i can smell the petrol..coming through the lubang air-cond ..eventhough windows are shut...Is there any sifus/ otais that can help me?...Really risau bro...who knows..this situation might cause my car to caught fire..or even worse explode..Pls help..

**Btw, fuel capacity between cb23 & GTti are the same? 40litre+?
**Need also to change oil pump & oil tank to GTti? CB23 can't support izit?

u mean fuel tank izzit? must change tank. GTti using electric pump in the tank.

i think so.maxx..i go to my uncle house who know on car engine...when i start my car....there is some small/tiny crack on the top engine part...the area near fuel distributor (top area) i think....He suspects this small crack causes the petrol to spill out....from the engine...caused the fume...

OOic...gtti fuel tank supports extra 3litres compared to cb23...
