Frustating Gearbox.

juz change the auto gearbox(4G63 SOHC) 2 months ago. few days ago the car jerk coz of the gearbox. it's like the gearbox doesn't know wic gear to use n suddenly jump to the gear it should be. the mechanic said coz it's in the chop chop for a long time so inside dirty. so he changed the G/B oil n everything seems to be ok n smooth.
then suddenly the jerking thingy came back again but now ok again.
y like dat 1 ah? dun tell me G/B wan kong again. :huh:

after changing the G/B
-diden race
-diden engine braking
-diden do wheel spin

juz change the GB oil is not enuf.......
Flush ur GB lah........mayb can help a little bit........

yup.....u can ask ur mech to do this.......
coz if only change GB oil, thats not enuf....& u juz can change 40%-60% of ur old GB oil....& most of old GB oil is still inside ur Toq Converter.....
if Flush it, u can change up to 90% of GB oil.....

Tell u something... automatics are problematic!

Change to manual la... saw 2WD Galant gearbox going as low as RM 300.

Auto tranny on Galant is controlled by the TCU - Transmission Control Unit. Get it checked.

manual so good la..

can do wheel spin.
can speed n accelerate without fearing that something would happen to the tranny.

my christmas present i hope santa claus send me a manual tranny n install it to the car. haha.... watch too much movie... :D

i drove kancil n wira wif manual tranny b4 n sometimes i hav difficulty shifting gears... it will stuck halfway n muz push back then shift again. :D

Galant manual tranny so old alr will like dat ah? :huh:

malaysia made car is like that la... gb not that smooth... but if jap made 1 sure it is better... what i think ur auto gb is something wrong with ur electronic gb control unit fault le.....try get ur car to check...

Human control is the best...haha... manual gearbox...
