Finally..... WAJA Campro 1.6 DOHC Is A Reality

Finally Waja has it's own homemade engine.
I'm really proud for Proton latest Version of Waja Campro 1.6 DOHC.:cry_smile:

It's a Gen2 engine with no cam-profiling feature... big deal... u get no low end torque (which is needed for daily driving) and high fuel consumption...
 
still the same eh? the engineers didnt do their howework kah..everybody's complaining about its pathetic low end torque..sure they shud come with some solution..remap ecu or something..
 
Waiting to test drive Waja Campro soon... just to prove my point...

... what about that stretched waja with v6 eng? RM138k for it? shesshhh...

if this upcoming one is just another eng without the cam-profiling, donno

Oh dats Chanscellor 2.0 with V6. wat i mean was for 1.6 version only for people who only can afford National cars below RM 70'000. More than that koyak. V6 eng good power but worse fuel consumtion beb.:cry_smile:
 
don wori beb, of coz they will use the same CAMPRO system for this. The eng was ready and proven. wat 4 to make new 2win cam eng without "Cam Profiling "while they already got the better eng ( CAMPRO ) fitted before inside GEN2. we wan more power, get more money then spy on more powerful Evo9 T Mivec U got both low power torque n high power torque n don forget more bigger fuel tank to fill.:afraid:
 
Cheap Car ma.... don't expect too many mods made by Proton. We got to be creatively ourself mods. The car coz only 42 to 45K ( Manual & Auto ) depends on Category types. What it's made the prices 59 or 60k+ was Sales Tax and Exise Duty so I think it's consider fair oredi. We got a lots of mods centre here in Malaysia. So U can adds or mods what ever U like. 4 me, consider acceptable even small improvement on eng.
Reduce RM flows to other country. Save our economy.

what do expect?its a good car for the price...the tax for the car is already 14k for the auto...that's more taxes for the govt to help malaysians for fuel subsidies than those underdeclared koreans and imported cars...
 
i am not sure with the new waja with the campro engine is with their so called "variable valve " thingy.but i am sure for gen2..the "campro" punya cam ain't pro.perhaps we should get the definition right for cam profile switching and varibale valve timng and variable valve timing and lift.
campro ain't got any of that for the gen2.the new waja i am not sure coz i din did the research
i am sure because i have a around 200page plus of research thesis about that.

it's just a name la...CAMPRO...so if any name on car or engine u would assume it is?...i think u should complaint about the koreans using the BTECH for their cars rather than CAMPRO..hahahaha..so corny....by the way if with cam profiling..i heard proton will call it CAMPRO CPS...cam profiling system...so if there no CPS stated by proton..u dont need to be like underage boys bashing CAM TAK PRO CAM TAK PRO...more corny..
 
CAMPRO is a misleading name created by Proton.

BTECH, guess you are referring to the BETA engine. Gosh, please update yourself with all the new range korea engine with valuable valve timing build it.
 
I agree with U Toe Peck. But I'm a bit disappointed la. Anyway we got our homemade DOHC eng. :idea: I'm still studying if da CAMPRO could fit with American like custom built superchargers that's runs by a pully/belting not like JAPs one - hot air compressor (Turbos N superchargers). This one less maintenance. The cool air was suck from front grill oso using a turbin runs by pully n belting. I've seen on "Honda Tuning" magazine (American Magazine).They've tested on Honda SOHC engine and it works impresively.:congrats:
But the problem is we need a stand alone ECU for it. I'll try to add the pic later.

herm..i quite interested with ur study blackmamba..we've got our own dohc engine and from what i know, this sp4h engine got some problem at the low end torque section..supercharger might be and interesting stuff to experiment with..

and about standalone chipsets, i think our local tuner have them..matspeed, drax, just to name a few..
 
I know that, encikmasen ECU like "motec" etc. But pricey beb.

I want 2 wait 4 the " ExtremeKar Megazine" Gen2 projectcar next review. Previous review that they tried to find n use a piggyback ECU (more cheaper). 4 me piggyback ECU hard to find thats suitable 2 CAMPRO coz CAMPRO eng still young.:lollypop:
The better is stand alone ECU we can map it the way we need. Siemens VDO ECU used in CAMPRO was fix n cannot remap. Thats gave problems to the project engineer (SpeedWorks PJ) unable to enhance the low end power lack in CAMPRO Eng. The project Gen2 car was extremely upgraded from suspension 2 engine performance:vroam: only the ECU was the main problem for them.:sarcastic:

Heard oso that da later CAMPRO will fit with "CPS" (Cam Profiling System).
4 me this system give more headache 2 user n mecs oso more money 2 spend.

2 many computer base system means more money n time to spend.:cry_smile:

ok lah..so u cannot accept that our only mass produce engine is named campro..then i say u should name it la...since ur the genius...of course proton can call it with the engine code...but for marketing purposes...it's easier to have a name for it...some malaysian dont go and say 4g this 4g that and b that and so on...might get confuse for public...hence that's why the name...CAMPRO..easier to remember...and of course it's the first engine by proton,,,kasi special name reference sikit...tak kan want to cal sp4bkallalalala...engine code only...

anyway...the supercharger idea is excellent..i heard speedwork had tune the siemens with the axt piggyback ecu...any news on the development?
 
now now..its the CAMPRO thing that makes us a lil bit dissapointed..at first they advertise it as an engine with the variable cam profile like vtech, mivec, variocam vanos etc etc..but then, when gen2 come out..ppl found out that the campro engine does not have variable cam profile like what the engine have been advertised..like black samurai said, its like eating chicken ricee without the chicken..

yes, for marketing business its good to use campro, like honda used its vtec..but for us we know the technical side..so just use the engine codes la..

eg if ppl just say they got vtec engine, big or small vtec? if use engine codes it makes things a lot easier

ok lah...we write a letter to proton saying that u feel cheated b'cos proton use the word campro without cps technology on their engine..heheehheh...hmmmmmmmm

i wonder why they always say its called campro cps that comes with cam profiling....and i thought they never intended it to be on gen2 and waja...srm gti possibly...if not,what's so special bout srm gti anymore,
