some confusing..

as for evo8 MR...the vortex generator is standard or acessories/optional ?evo8 MR got rear diffuser type bumper or not? is this accessory/optional also?

evo 8 got how many variants...FQ is for UK right? as for MR...how many bhp variants?

now evo 9. i saw some E9 go diffuser rear bumper.is this standard? E9 got MR version or not? what the bhp?

Yo, fren! Is me S9 again! How u doing lately man? Hahaha... Pertaining to ur Q, VG(Vortex Generator) for both E8MR n E9 oso is an optional part!!! VG for MR, come in black color... whereas VG for E9 come with de car color/ black... Which means if ur car is white, then de VG wil b in white oso lor...

MR do not hv rear difusser!!! Only E9 hv it!!! But it can b easily hv de rear bumper diffuser for MR as E7, E8 n E9 r sharing de same chasis - CT9A, so de bumper can b interchangable!!!

As for E8, it only got 3 variants from de factory (Mitsu)- GSR, RS n MR!!! As for de FQ version is actually done by Ralliart UK!!! There r few variants for FQ spec, but i onli know there r FQ320, FQ340 n FQ400... I think there r more... but need to check!

E9 rear bumper diffusser is std for E9 (Japanese Spec.)!!! For Jap spec, there r GSR, GT, RS spec!!! As for E9 MR, it is de USA Spec where u hardly can get it over here in Asia!!! And this US spec E9 DO NOT come with de rear Diffuser bumper, as it is sharing de E8 MR bumper!!! All E9 come with 286hp, n 40.8kg/m of torque for GSR, n 42.5kg/m for GT n RS spec!!!

now i undertand better about the vortex and diffuser.

did not buy yet. short of rm bcos searching a volvo S70 for my dad 1st. after the volvo...then will think about evo purchasing. gtr 33/34 can't afford to maintain. now my choices are S15 silvia,evo8 and evo9. but not in near future.

wish to get E9 ...but have to wait for some time.cannot resist the mivec turbo. hehe. i heard the mivec turbo E9 damn rapid & quick for 0-100 kmh timing. ...true or not S9?

Hey, de E9 is GREAT!!! Hahaha... de Mivec Turbo is really superb man... Very responsive engine!!! And oso very torquey!!! During lots of convoy with other members Evos hor (mostly mild modded n above), my ori E9 can catch up no problem (sometimes can better them too :_: )... Really worth to own it if $$$ not an issue!!! My best time for 0-400 is ard 12.8sec!!!

As for S15 oso not a bad choice lar... I got a fren who got himself a Spec. R S15, very good!!! Is another chick magnet man!!! hahaha... 250hp with rm150k++...

No worry lar fren, make enough $$$ 1st then onli enjoy life!!! Hehehe... Myself oso been through lotsa tough time b4 able to get myself this dream machine!!! Btw, if u do need any other info abt cars, do let me know lar... Happy to help out n share with frens here!!!

Hey fren! Yup, if am not wrong my 0-400m best time is 12.8sec!!! I did it few mths back (takut sudah lupa lar) when v MLOC had this Evo Drag Race Day @ Pasir Gudang track in JB!!! Hehehe... :_: I rev up to 5000rpm to jump start... Very powerful G force lar... But after 3 rd of drags I gave up eventhough I qualified for de Quater final due to heavy smell from my clutch!!! Car stil new, sayang mahu go all de way... hahaha...

After tht, few frens told me if E9 boost up n using twin plate clutch, it wil b damn KENG lar!!!

V did post this whole event up over here in Mitsu Thread, if u r interested u can try to find it out!!! Hehehe... :regular_smile:

btway...what your best time for 0-100kmh....in magazines...some stated can clock mid 4 sec to high 4 sec. that's fast,rapid,quick machine. can challenge porsche anytime.

i dont mind if quite late to purchase the E9...better late than never at all.further more...all evo series are legend & evergreen maaaa.. even the E6 TME still gorgeous and fierce looking.

from my previous car...only keep the takata & hks evc 5 bcos have sentimental value..they are gift/present from my sister in japan.

As for my best 0-100km/h ah... I didnt hv any equipment to do it... so i dunno ler... As ur said can challenge Porshe, i got a member who is driving IX too been tried to 'play' with Porsche GT3 at de traffic light b4!!! Hahaha... He told me tht it was a good experience for him too... When during launching in 1st n 2nd gear... de IX is IN FRONT of de GT3... Yahoooooo.... But after tht when de GT3 started to get better grip on de road... Here he goes.... extremely FAST!!! Mind u, my fren IX oso as stock as mine... When they hit 150km/h n above, de GT3 started to pull far away from his IX liao...

But as i said b4, another fren who oso on IX... Boost up his car liao... with after mkt full piping, fuel regulator, boost controller, air intake, exhuast n etc... De car feel very very different... can easily beat a 350hp E7 in launching everytime (according to de E7 fren)... Hahaha... So i guess de IX wil hv very very big potential lor... :angel_smile:

long time no chat..!!!....:P...just to ask ah brother, u did the 12.8 sec at pasir gudang? its 400m? coz as i know mostly in pasir gudang they set for 300m. just saw the best motoring, evo 9 di the best 400m is around 13++sec....:P...just curious.

so did u done anything on the sppe cut? i remember last time quite few was asking around the speed cut thingy. and the VG thing i will go and test the race craft then i let u know the result..hehe...

Hey brader, how u doing man? As for de time i got for de 0-400m in Pasir Gudang is actually given by de ppl in charged for de drag... How they do it n how accurate izzit oso v dunno ler... Hehehe... :_: But i think its 0-400m @ Pasir Gudang ler... cos lotsa other categories drag were going on tht day too... de Evos drag was onli 1 of de event tht day!!! Fun n there were many many ppl ard... so i was like damn nervous during de drag... Hahaha...

I remember when i did my warm up drag (warm up is open for all kinda cars)... I was up against a 'kancil' like small car with super big turbo!!! During launching... I was far infront... Hahaha... then i told myself shouldnt b a problem ler... But then... Phoooooommmmm..... de 'kancil' flied past me super fast.... :emoticon_U: Shock Shock Shock!!! Damn Pai Seh oso ler... cos everyone was cheering de 'kancil' when v made our return to de pit!!! lolz... I heard some 'Boo...' to de IX oso... Sigh!!! :shcokedcamo: Hahaha... but it was really fun lar...

As for de speed cut thingy... i hvnt do it yet... But few IX owner in zth did it oredi!!! Ok no problem at all!!! It proved de earlier scare was not to b worried!!! Some put HKS SLD, some taruk Apexi RSM n some do it with after mkt ECU... All work well n no problem at all!!!

hey guys, i need some comments too. Im now using Mivec similar as 4g63 Mivec. Can i upgrade it same as Evo 9??? Advice pls.

Hi there. De Mivec engine u r hving i think is different from de 4G63 Mivec Turbo engine... I guess urs must b de Lancer's Mivec engine? So u r using manual tranny or auto tranny? Yup, of cause u can add turbo to ur Mivec engine but how wil de results like I hv no idea as i do not hv de experience of it b4... But Mivec engine with turbo (not de 4G63) is pretty common... U can kinda go to those mod shop n ask them how can they do it for u!!!

Frankly speaking, as u hv asked whether it can b upgrade to b same as Evo9 - I doubt it!!! No hard feeling!!! Jus trying to share! As de engine is different, so de end result wil oso b different!

Make sure when u r to upgrade ur engine, do spend some $$$ on ur brake system n car chasis as well!!!

Cool man heard and read all sort of experiences you guys had. Jealous here...hehee..well as for me ya...GilaEvo ! ahaha...saw Pxx16 e7 couple days ago a car service garage in Penang..his car damn cool with c/f bonnet n wing.

Plan to get 1 soon man...been scouting quite sometimes...either e7 or e8.
But i prefferable choice is e8. As i read lot of problem on e7.(dat's wat hold me back getting e7 2 months back).

oh wel, being busy with work..plan to go down to KL to search a good e8 next month....u guys have any shop to recommend ? if do please share...
