Engine for gen 2

Hi, i need help here, can i noe what engine is suitable for proton gen 2. the engine got problem and need to change engine. Thank you.

waahh, gen 2 engine already got problem ehh?....what happened ?..well, u can plonk in evo 4-7 engine for gen 2...(if u love forced induction)......:D....NA engine...im not so sure laa....can plonk in what model....perhaps fto 2.0 v6 mivec can be plonk in also.....

You will have lot's of wonderful/awful suggestion.

If you dun want performance gain, and would like to stick to original engine, go back to Proton and change back the same spec 1.6 Campro engine.

at the end of the day, it all depends on your budget and taste.

i need original engine, did check with proton, it cost more than 10k for the original engine (brand new). can't find any second hand engine. thay's y i m looking for others suitable N/a engine lor. :)

J3ff, mind sharing how bad is your 1.6 Campro engine situation? No more warranty?
And what's the cause for that damage? I think many Campro engine owner will be curious and would like to find out from you.

PM one of the R3 guys or post your question on the R3 website, coz they should know after tinkering with the Gen2 for racing.

btw, J3ff, you can try look for those Gen.2 owner who change their engine to Turbo engine, their original engine might be another goody for you to grab.

actually this car belong to my fren. His brother drive too fast and fly over a bump and the oil filter is leaking until it's dry up. then the whole engine can't even start.

he did ask a few mechanic and proton factory, they say the cost to repair is very expensive and cannot claim insurance.

hope all the sifu here can provide more info to me. :)

got problem coz' he hit something laa dude..'till the oil filter leaked...damn!!, how fast ur friend driving laaaa!!...rally style izzit?...

p/s: change to mivec engine laa dude, ;)
