hie guys....wanna ask some questions ahh...

EF3 if put big V will driveshaft bcome crab ahh???

any pics on EF's running on fully converted B16A Big wan...no use back item from car...all from halfcut...
got ahh???? :D

big V from which year/what car ..?? .. EG ..? EK ..? .. Akod ..?
 
my EF2 was running with b16a from crx .. and my friend sh4 is running with EF9 engine .. so far no prob .. not just that .. lotsa EF running around with either crx's, or ef9's or da8's engine ..

if yu're getting the whole half cut .. the whole part will go into the engine bay .. whay shud worry bout the drive shaft ..???

EG9 lorrr.....Halfcut from EG9....does it make u bay sempit n does driveshaft like crab wan....ihihihihih

any pics from that kinda conversion ahh???

ef9 of course ler PnP....Da6 dunno lar....

VTEC besar....VTEC is bigger than DOHC at the rocker cover....

:unsure: :unsure: aiyo bro .. syiokgiler is rite ler .. DA8 also big v ler . . got friend with da8 engine in his Ef .. no prob wan .. EG in EF also no prob ..
 
I don't think become crab, but I could be wrong

DA big or small, the driveshaft is the same because it's similar to EF, only the front is longer.
 
i think there will be no problem lah......
because lots of our member using the big v engine
even most of them rojak only (not using the whole half cut...)
just go for engine lantai one or engine kosong only....
but there is some who convert the whole half cut to their EF....
no problem so far......
but no worries lah malaysia have lots of genius engineer.....
nothing is impossible for malaysian lah......
malaysia boleh!
eg9 can convert to proton...then for sure can convert to EF
malaysia boleh.......

ya ya ya ya M'sia boleh but don't forget the RM. and also panadol. aduh sakit kepala. Before your car to be perfect 10...

but what i can suggest here fine good pomen that biasa do EF conversion. Coz to convert EG so easy one. an i prefer u use EF8/9 or DA6/8 for big V.

aku dah jumpa 3 EF convert from EG halfcut all adoi pening kepala. Vtec tak bukak la... wiring problem la... and mounting tecabut la.... engine gegar la....and blablablabla.... so 1 more time fine a good pomen... k

wah... EG masuk EF pening kepala ar... like hinting someone huh.. ? hahhaa... anyway find a good mechanic to do it for u sure no pening la.. like wat taknabe said... :lol:
 
owh ok....guys,

-u mean by using EG's or DA's halfcuts wont be a problem to convert into the EF's engine bay???

-Won't have crab driveshaft problem??

-all big V's g/b from EF,EG,DA are same or not???

EF got big V also wor.. the EF8 last batch some of it is big V engine.. but wiring still small V and everything else also small V one... only engine is big V.. but quite hard to find... see if you're lucky :P

but the question is....is the gearbox design the same fo ef,eg,da???

bocz the problem now is driveshaft crab....not linkage ker,vtec kecik besar ke...i mean the design....bentuk gearbox itu laaaaa...........

gearbox is not the same eventhough it fits

Y1, S1, J1 and YS1 are gearbox for EF and DA vtecs. DA big vtec have the same wiring with EF (OBD-0), less hassle when doing conversion.

rojak wiring (big vtec EG) conversion is a hassle because it's OBD-I .... gearbox using hydraulic pump summore. if u use big vtec EG, need to have the complete wiring. the choice is whether to use hydraulic pump type or cable clutch type gearbox. if use hydraulic, lotsa thing need to be modified. if use small vtec, wiring also need modified if not mistaken. arghhh confuse confuse.....

better get big vtec DA instead. cheaper than EG.
 
DA big vtec halfcut is it hard to find?

btw, if so many wiring problems....... IF got the $$$, can we jz buy aftermarket ECU to solve the 'rojak wiring' prob? - coz it gives other benefits as well........
