My driving license is about to get "hang". I'm suppose to appeal and I'm given 14 days from the notice date to appeal. Problem is i didnt know about this letter after a month later.

Any advise(s) or help from the expert(s)???

Actually i need sum advise on how to solve the issue.

The kesalahan, according to the statement. i had accident twice in 2003 and the latest is about 2 months ago.

Each accident cost me 8 demerit point.
total i lost 16 points and i have 7 left.

I have to write appeal letter and give them a good reason why my license SHOULD NOT be detained. Another problem is the appeal letter must be submitted 14 days upon the date the statement being issued. But i only get the statement today and it is way overdue by a month +

Im not too sure about the merit point issue but i'm a bit puzzled. what if i get 0 or negative point? also what if my licensed get detained for 12 months and what's goin to happen 12 months later? point start from the initial point???

if i dont drive a car for 12 months, i dont think that will help me in improving. or i gotta take driving test agaiN?????!!!

each accident..u paid extra rm400 rite?

accident how to appeal? unless u can tel them a reasonable reason tat cause ur 1st,2nd n 3rd accident..how it happen n y it wil hapen...

speed + ego + bad mood + reckless = accident!

twice accident i claimed insurance. so i do need to make police report. both also i bang ppl's car. so claim insurance which need to go balai and pay for the summon and bla bla.

i guess maybe i'm a bit too ignorant about demerit point thingy last time and didnt check about it. as i dont know much anything about it. well... now i guess i know it.

so at the end of the day... this demerit point will always MINUS but no way to hm... "increase" it?

u r unlucky lo....i got few frens owes accident n claim insurance one...but nothing...maybe trafic kaw tim for them oledi....

next time... drive 60-80 slow lane oredi. gang with lorries and old cars.

sumore the appeal date oredi past a month. (i got the statement today coz they sent to my hometown. my parents know nutz about english and malay...).

and the so called kesalahan is
"Kaedah lalulintas jalan 1959 cuai mengawal dengan wajar pergerakan kenderaan"


both also the same...

and yes this statement is from JPJ...

i do think about it. either i buat dunno about it until when i renew license or i go to appeal. either way i still kena... but if i play dunno *hopefully* they dont update their system on such cases and *wish* those fella will not ever update their system... i dont know. either way also, i do need to travel and i need my wheels. with or without the license...

my licence is a $50 note stashed in ma wallet sumwhere

no prob 1...cos the cops all sure take 1. but dun lansi wif dem la. act like idiot misplaced ur licence when get stopped... $50 works all the time..unless u reek of alcohol.....

what to do? lose ma job? no need to work? start robbing old ladies?

well... it is true. anyway i will definately drive even without license. i need to work to pay my dues. not to mention to feed the enforcers also. i guess drive slow, in slow lane and drive a low profile car for a year WITHOUT license.

it is pretty sux. i guess this is my fate. Kancil, drive slow and money to buy myself out.

Write an appeal letter. Ask a friend who is good in bahasa to help. They should initially reduce your sentence to 3 months. Then appeal again.

A silly thing which happens is that when they say your license has been gantung, the letter says it will ONLY take effect when you hand in your license. Duh...

actually... the didnt mention has been gantung but rather "boleh menggantung lesen memandu kamu tidak melebihi 12 bulan." sorry! i was quite blur and upset so i didnt finished the whole thing. and also i got 7 points left.

in the case if i kena any case dat deduct more than 7 points, im dead crab.

stated also if i didnt reply in the grace period, they will "hang" my license and send me the "NOTIS PENGGANTUNGAN" to me.

as mentioned, i got this letter yesterday, due to the fact they sent to my hometown and NOT my kl address. my parents dont know malay. *shrug*. So by now they oredi taken action against me.

i decided not to go to appeal today until i can get a very actual procedure to settle this thing. go unprepared will give me more disadvantage...

be careful man, you mentioned you're quite reckless. if you drive around without a license and accidently slam into someone, you're insurance company will turn a blind eye then you'll not only be screwed but pretty broke as well.

For the grace period things. I think you can said that now you live in kl and the letter is send to your kampung in somewhere, so now only know about it. If you want to give stronger prove. If can get something to prove that now you live in kl and you seldom go back to your hometown, maybe you can make a declaration at commissioner for oaths saying that now you live in kl and get the commissioner to certified it. (just suggestion). then Parents dont know how to read lah, this lah, that lah. Just be cool and be polite when you speak to the officer.

I think they are more straight on this demerit things when it is come to accident, hope that they dont start it at other offences like speeding, cause this year i got quite some speed trap tickets.
