Hahaha..... now i only got the real meaning from thread starter. He/she would actually like to register his/her L2 660cc turbo-intercooler engine that's fitted in his Kancil 850cc.

That's y he/she put it as downgrade the engine cc lor. It's a simple procedure, just send ur car to any Puspakom for inspection of the overall car's structure (RM40 charge) BUT make sure everything is working fine at least. Preferably no mods to the front bodyparts (Daihatsu Mira conversion), loud or big bore exhaust system, tinted kaw kaw, tyres no threads & mixture of colors on ur car bodyparts panels. Ensure that brakes is working perfectly fine!

Once completed, the Puspakom will issue u a letter stating that u passed the inspection test. Then, bring ur original car registration card along to any JPJ office along with the Puspakom letter........ go the Kaunter Pertanyaan & tell them that u would like to change ur engine number.

Once at the specified counter, show them the Puspakom letter to endorse ur "new" engine number. Once changed, go to another counter to top-up or renew ur roadtax accordingly to ur new engine cubic capacity (cc).

All the steps above usually takes a one full day from morning till 2-3pm. Happy registering buddy! Cheers!

dont think u need any runner to do that. LIke what andy replied... those are the procedure.

u just need to spare the whole day to get things done. Good luck.

i heard from my fren... his car... wira 1.6 change to 2.0 ... he just pay RM 350 to the runner and his car even dont need to be there too :D... means in Puspakom... His car just park at the workshop and he pay RM 350 to the runner and wait for the car registration card only...

victorinox, call this number 019-3330937 (raymond). so far i've dealt with him with downgrading displacement myself (850NA to 660T) and i've introduced some fellas to him, no bad feedbacks afterall. one day's job and back then when i did was rm350.

never heard doesnt mean dont have ppl doing it. i did a downgrade 3 years back, doesnt mean i need to announce it on the daily newspaper right back then right? L5 and L2 basically are a turbocharged 660cc producing 64hp and differ by the torque only and engine technology only. reason being L2 is preffered is due to it's strong block that able to sustain rough torture is being built with cast iron as compared to the fragile L5's aluminium block, which is also define why all the monsterous kancil is based on a L2 not L5 powerplant. there are alot of factors involved, basically lazy to explain here and divert off the topic

well is best if u give a runner to register for u cos its a sure pass(sure got duit kopi) and no need to worry about time just give the runner 1 day and all kau tiam. if u want to find a runner just ask the work shop owner normally they know some runners
if u want to register ur self u need to pay RM40 in the counter then RM100 on your passenger seat in an envelop for a sure pass if u dont put 100 there well u'll get a fail latter stating errors on your car then u need to go back tu the work shop fixing all the errors bring the receipt back to puspakom counter and need to pay 40 again for inspection
this is the usual cases in puspakom huh!!!
