Do you like orchestra?

a large group of cars revving engines considered orchestra or not? if yes, I love orchestra. got F1 orchestra, Japan GT orchestra.. and many more

Never had a chance to be in the philharmonic theatre....

Wonder hows its like....

I believe its an exhilirating experience....

If you have a chance, go and see. I went once from friends' invitation. His wife is a Music teacher.
The hall has double layer to keep outside sound out. The acoustic of the hall can be changed, depending on what is on show. The ceiling height can be adjusted and so on.
One thing you have to be dressed up to attend. Leather shoes, long sleeve batik and so on.....

vr2urbo, you must be the lucky one!

Yup, went with my missus, some more can choose what we want to see. The Music teacher had a booklet of free passes on the shows being performed, just have to choose.....:driver:

Not really a fan and only certain type of orchestra sounds good to me...not all.

Really, you're cool!!

well not really like those full fledge orchestra...its just a group of musician with "wind blowed" instrument such as clarinet, saxophone, tuba, trombone, trumpet etc etc...but atleast we all enjoyed the music....

and our instructor was a really old man that once was a captain in military brass band....that was cool..

I like orchestra if combined with metal music! It makes the music sounds very powerful, epic, grandiose!

like Metallica S&M orchestra??? this one I like...hahaha. super Epic

No, no, not that...
I like true melodic, symphonic, progressive metal bands that really create metal songs with layers of orchestral elements as integral part of the songs (not just an add-on), like Nightwish, Kamelot, Vanden Plas, Symphony X, etc2.
I also like real classical heavy orchestra music created by Yngwie Malmsteen, or those orchestra trailer music like in the movies, such as from Thomas Bergensen Illusion, Two Steps From Hell, Future World.

ohhh...understand understand...
MDM and sympho la niiiii...hahaha Gothenberg can put in also ka? ahahahah...
i like! but wonder if they can conduct something like S&M in the Philharmonic...would something like that even be approved?

Sometimes other shows also uses the hall, so no need to be orchestra only, but should visit the hall at least once to see it.....

I'm agreed with you,,so,when we will have a konvoi to go there?? anyone??

I actually also don't know much at all about orchestra music. I still have not really listened to those true classic greats like from Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Paganini, etc. Only started to listen to metal with orchestral flavour around 6-7 yrs ago (all along just listening to melodic metal only). Then only very recently started listening to those movie trailer type orchestra music. I like to browse through Amazon though, and read the reviews, it helps a lot in discovering stuff. :)
