difference between monoblock and twin block calipers

Monoblock = Machined from a single piece of forged aluminum. Much stronger, and less prone to caliper twisting during load. Higher cost due to difficult machining.

Twin-block = Joint together (front and back) by two pieces, easily spotted with the bolts on front face, top and bottom of the caliper (usually 3 sets each). More prone to twisting. Lower cost than mono-block type.
