hi...
can i ask some q's?

-my setup now is 2 6'5 components,2 10"susbs,1 4ch hi/lo pass 1600w amp plus an ec(3 ch)..all is fr mohawk..the amp is conn to the subs and front comps.the rear comp is connected to HU

-i kept getting crackling and popping(small explosion) sound from my front right comp speaker...have tighten the screw wiring at the speaker end but problem still exist..according to some is the crossover for the comp is spoilt..is it true?or is it just the loose screw wiring at the crossover end?
this thing not always happening but when it happen it is very annoying
have install 7 point grounding 4ga cables but it is still the same

help

do u run ur bass too loud? maximum?

sometimes it depends on d speaker itself..

i think about ur case is that the bass is run too loud or d speaker does not support maximum pressure bass..

that's y its rattling..

might be d screw,mouting n etc

but i think yours is speaker bass ..

if its mid bass speaker .. u can put maximum but if its 2way or 3way u can't put too loud on bass ..

becareful .. if got rattling sound or etc2 on d speaker,it would short circuit ur amps.

pop pup sound came out from speaker due 1 prob..... your amp ground cable not properly tighthen or solder... U always here it when U on/off the HU......

hmmm
hi there kay
your problem same as mind
mine on the right hand side also got breaking sound
my one also 6.5 component set mohawk(blue)
i think cause my electronic crossover the ground cable is atache v front rca
then suddenly it like got sparkly sound from my right side speaker then i check it is loosen then after i fix it back became break sound already
and then second i think maybe is the component crossover rosak

mrbear
the bass is not turned out so high for front...adequate before the mid line via crossover sub setting..and the amp setting is also set to low..did not cranck up
this only happened recently..not since the day it was installed...running the same setting eversince..did not kacau the hardware setting

oldskool
the pop sound do not came out during on/off the radio...only came out during in the middle of radio/cd listening
amp ground cable is fr the amp to the car body rite?i will check

malcolm
how to change the comp crossover setting to run fr passive to active?pls guide

fish
haha.. :)

btw...
the only old thing fr my setup is the HU itself..pioneer deh4750mp..around 11months old...other than that is new stuff
-could it be...
-the crossover spoilt?if so...what suits?the front using mohawk ms55 comp..cant
remember the exact model
-loose connection between crossover?
-soundsystem ground setting loose?
-others?

as I said ealier, due to amp grounding & no others else which 1 condition, your HU should be in good condition... when pop sound came?

a) playing CD, pop pup sound came out when U by pass bad condition road
b) CD change track
c) On/Off HU

hi there
but my one since i install my elec crossover nothing happen no breaking sound
but after that day it started break sound
my speaker only run for mid only no bass at all
i think lah is maybe cause cause of component crossover
and also maybe the elec crossover ground cable
i check all alraedy all cable tighten up but also got the breaking sound

oldskool

most likely the thing happened during a)..
mostly happened during in the middle cd playing and radio listening
and yeah..sometime when hit uneven roads..the crackling started followed by small pops...and would then become normal again

sometime even when hitting uneven roads, the symptoms does not happened at all

if your grd cable properly solder to car chasis.. just left 1 reason laa.. this also happen to my frend car.. HU kong oledi, also using pioneer HU but diff model -5650MP..

Try U add another 1 or 2 ground cable for electronic crossover..

sounds like a loose connection somewhere, check all rca cables, if still nothing, then check speaker wire, could be touching metal, if sound only comes from one side, try changing left & right speakers, u will know if its wire or speaker problem.

Thanks oldskool..i think also it is because of the HU..but will double confirm if its anything else

ok zen..will do the nescessary :)

for the past 1 week the problem does not arise...hmm
