converting auto to manual gearbox b16a

yo bro! need advice frm sifu out there,like to convrt gearbox auto to manual,my gbox got problem la,wat things to do?plz hlp bro...

its gonna be a pretty expensive conversion....
besides gear box, you'll need the console and stick, clutch and brake pedal...
than you need manul cams... auto cams are different...

nway, its best to get urself to a reputable workshop... they'll know what to do...

thanks 4 ur concern but according to the owner b4 me the cam oledi tukar,that what he said,any effect?actualy im sabahan,really need to cnvrt the gbox cause always kena cucuk by others car,damn....i hate that kind of situation,cant kejar summore cause cant shift to gear4,here difficult to find manual gbox,oledi asked munleeauto manual gbox complete and the price rm2800 nego exclud delivery fee....iz the price reasonable???

maybe you can try car wreckers at tilija, elite, desbil or sin fook mei. munlee would be your last resort and the price is obnoxious sometimes. get a conversion package price rather than the gearbox alone.

probably the only guy that stocks honda parts at home is lo-gam/lau-kim, go visit his place and hopefully he can sort your findings and maybe with installation too. the rest i dont know buddy.

rm2800 for gbox? ask them to stuff those things up theirs la... hog expensive!

the most important supporting equipment is ecu (actually u can modify ur auto
ecu to manualize it) & starter; the rest as stated by our frens here la..

ecu diff in terms of mapping; the powerband/lift for both auto & manual cams
differs... hence the mapping for the two ecu's tailored to support their respective
cam profile. even if u r using manual cam now it doesnt fully utilize
the potential of the cam coz ur current auto ecu supports auto cam... i'm not
sure bout this, but i think u r hurting ur engine coz i dont think the auto afr is
doin justice to the engine considering u r running manual cam... 5 sen

hmm.. from what I know.

1... meter cluster.. some of the connectors are different... (I'm only familar with EG cluster.. so dunno about EKs)

2... ECU.. auto ecu has a couple of extra stuff inside since they manage the auto g/box. I'm not sure if you can run the same ECU with manual g/box though.. since no one here has ever tried.

3.. gearbox, clutch parts (pedal & etc) + clutch hardlines

4.. as for cams.. I don't think it's a required part... but depends on how much extra you are willing to spend.

i think ur real prob is to source 4 dat gbox... if u cant find it in kk,
leceh... u may arrange 4 it 2 be shipped 2 u, but wot if the tranny's
messed up badly whos gonna compensate u? if the seller guarantees
& u sure he's gonna accept the responsibility then ok

so if u still wanted 2 get the tranny, find it in kk or get a friendly party
2 buy it 4 u here & arrange 4 da shipment...

guys,just got the manual gearbox for the b16a,but the problem is the gbox actually from eg8,i said cannot use gbox eg8 but ma fren said can as long as the engine use vtec besar,i dun understand,anyone plz.....need ur guys help.......is it really can use?????:confused_smile: :confused_smile: :confused_smile:
