Coilover: Silvers ride height adjustable, Front spring rate 7 and rear spring rate 4.

Found out in some hard corners, the car became unstable... anyone got any idea or brand recommendation how to make the car more stable???

TiTaN! or if your free i'll take you to selayang to my sifu buat allignment. kasi toe in belakang, toe out infront, camber adjust around -1.5 sumfin in that line la. proper old skool alignment tools and on wheel balancing.

any feed back on other coilovrs?
less thn 2k region?

HWL?APM?RG?

how do these coilover peform for a BF?

my car is already rattling cuz of the stiff GABs, so i guess i wont mind the stiffness of a coilover

how much do everything?? does it really help alot in cornerings???

johnz

yea it does!
we tested pimpin323's car (he drove, mostly :P )
and man, was he happy :)

we had plenty of milage to cover, as he fetched me back from TiTAN to our area, Damansara.. so all the familiar roads were taken with ease AND confidence!

he also tested on track (of course it's not a track setup) but he's happy with it!

what more can i say?? ;)

hmm, lantis also encounter handling problem ahh. hope to see your reply is a goo news lah. good luck.

BF on GABs? sure they have for BF? I checked they only have for BG n above......where did you bought them?

I recently just bought my new set of "Silver's" ride height adjustables!!! I wished to do something to my current set to make it useful!!! Some ppl told me to change springs and tyre!! Some say do service to the damper's valve... so how??

box, my GAB's are not the coilovr type.
normal type of gabs.
but stiffer compared to the OEM shocks

What you mean by unstable? Next time I take a ride in ur car lah.

hes trying to compare semi slicks to a road tyre..... thats why.

unstable? erm....... means making tyre screeching sound in some small bends!! not even a corner!!! i think the tyre also played a part... need to get them changed one day if got money!!

another thing the steering wheel vibrates a little during cornering!! do you guys think it is the coilover's problem or the alignments and balancing??

i would do a tyre change in your case of tyre screeching...

guys, in lokooing for coilover for my bf.
2nd hand.
what other coilovers from other car makes can i use in a BF5P?
(in other words, what otehr car's have suspensions similar and can fit into a BF)

ReubenC...

I'm not for the "junkyard wars" approach to car modding. I'd encourage you to get a new set of coilovers designed to suit the handling characteristics of the BF. HWL or Top Perfect is a local brand that makes affordable, good quality sets. Go check it out.

battousai, thanks for your info man!
ihardly get feedback frm forums.

yea, been thinkin bout either HWL, RG and the new kYB coilovers.
if i haf the budget, i would have already invested in tiens or one of the higher end local brands...(need not be named)

but ibeen told HWL leaks and needs alot of servicing after a few months of use.
how often should we service coilovers in general?

reubenc,

good luck finding tiens for ur car :P
Service your suspension as and when it requires attention lah. Like when it leaks. If its working fine, leave it alone.
