Civic 2.0 I-VTEC Engine Modifications

I believe there are a number of Civic 2.0 owners out there (as shown on the photo). As the engine is a K20A3, what are the potential mods that are available to it? Can we change the cams and what extractor is recommended? 4-2-1 or 4-1?

from US forums what they do is... replacing the weak K20A with the real K20A from CTR, ITR

you can obviously mod ur K20A to become a K20A similar to the K20A type R but it is simpler to just plonk in a K20A type R. in asia.vtec.net there is article about the MME civic 2.0... with ITR engine.

theres 2 bijik CWhite ES like in the above pic that has already mod to the ITR k20A here in kl, one masuk hypertune mag... i used to drive the ES but with the standard engine, ur wasting money to mod the cam, remap ecu la this that la... better just go for engine transplant... just plug n play ler... if buy halfcut can getthe brembos, ECU, LSD 6 speed g/box

I believe transplanting would cost quite a bit of money, say 15-20K for the DC5 engine?

if you mod your existing engine it will cost money too but the performance gain will not match the K20A R.

anyway... ppl always choose the ITR engine... nobody likes the CTR engine ke?? using EPS summore

bro i saw 1 grey colored CL7 euro R for sale in pj near lisa de Inn hotel, quite nice.. comes with the K20Ar engine, 6 speeder g/box... 1 owner n mileage oni 23000km.. selling for 170k

if some body who wanna challage his car,he is available is subang granmarry infront of DHL(black color waja campro)....i suspect that is a R&D car,gear ration sound all different...even 1 waja bolt on turbo also lose to him...but he take alot advantage coz the vanue he already very familia,the road not more then 150m my car only on Second gear 5k rpm during end,but he's car already on 3th gear max almost end of the road........weird mod!!!

no,that is original campro(modify),if mivec i early already makan him di,coz waja mivec not that strong

coz i tested with few mivec b4...the power also not like the monster (wajacampro)granmarry.

I tried a Waja Mivec 1.6 manual and it was powerful enough I'd say. I've never tested the hybrid 1.8 though.

I guess Proton's Campro isn't that bad after all eh :)

I thought the milleage is 25000 kms, not 23000kms. Anyway, the car already sold!!...now awaiting loan approved.

But seriously with the tag price of Rm170k and secondhand car here, better purchase STI WRX version 8 or Evo8...4WD-T recond unregistered somemore.

Totally agreed with u!!. FYI, i'm the ex-owner of Lancer 1.6cc Mivec CK/CJ manual tranny last time and the car really rockS!!!!!
