Charade Detomase Suspension Set-up

Guys,

Anyone can advise & recommend me a good & comfortable new standard suspension set-up for Chadare Deto?.

Current set-up :- Gab (red color) with ori spring.

Last few months, i changed it. Done it at DM. Damn very hard. My wife complaints a lot. Now, i'm thinking to change back to std one.

Any recommended brand?. Price range?.

i have a set of charade suspension, but its for aura (tokico frnt, showa back).
used less than 5 month. excellent condition. :)

Adviseable to get a new set of new espri absober plus a detomaso spring.A deto spring much suitable.

By the way u current setup using ori spring mean espri or detomaso ?

ur red GAB is adjustable or normal stroke?

Yeah GAB is the hardest abs i ever try.. not suitable for cruising but superb in cornering.

aja.. try tokico japan RM600 (not tokico m'sia=apm) or KYB RM460.. last longer than apm. i dunno bout showa coz never heard they produce for charade.

Maxx. .care to xplain bout showa? Handling.. price.. durability?

i think aja use the normal stroke since he mentioned that using with ori spring :)

Cateyes suggestion also can consider as deto abs looks bigger that std aura and also the spring is thicker than aura. But. .where to find la brand new deto abs.

Go for standard Daihatsu Ascend absorbers with standard DeTomaso springs. Comfortable setup but no that great for handling.

my setup now 4 corners OEM abs with front EG6/ rear SAGA spring-additional stopper (185 60R14 with 5.5" width)...

My gab is normal one. non-adjustable.

Got any idea where i can buy those Tokico/APM absorbers?. The RM600/RM460 is for 4 pieces (full) set right?. Any recommended kedai?.

the tokico price was quoted to me from members that have used it for quite long time and still working in great condition. He said that it was klang price.

i'm not sure which part are u in now. But not many spapre part shop offer tokico japan.

the KYB u can find at any spare part shop. Jln Ipoh will be a gud starting point :)

Yeap the price is for 4 pieces.

Btw guys.. how to differentiate between deto and espri abs? Or it same difference.

Confirmed, 4 Gab Abs. is up for sale. But have to find the replacement first.

My Deto don't have ABS, but i think it's quite noticable if the car got ABS. Just check the ABS pump in the engine bay will do.

Say for Kayaba brand, which car model should i refer to (when asking the spareparts kedai)?. It's G200 , G201 .. or other? BTW, my location at S. Alam. Any recommended kedai here?.

I got my ori GTti clutch plate at Daihatsu Shah alam.You may try ur luck there to order a Mc pherson absober.

TOKICO is an OEM Daihatsu as far as I concern and TOKICO Japan is the best.Agree with ntahapahapantah Tociko is more suitable and last longer.

Aja.. if u want to used Kayaba u may refer to espri model.Not all spare part shop familiar with G200 or G201 even tyre shop staff also said GTti is using L series engine.. LOL :D

Now i'm looking hi and low again for Deto G201 absorber. After sent those GAB absorber for repairs, now bunyi balik. Might be the bushing ka, i donno la. My wife keep complaining now!!.

I've called the Monroe Shah ALam (thru their M'sian Agent - Borneo Peninsular). They don't import Monroe for G200/201. Other best option was Tokico la. Stock Daihatsu absorber is damn soft, i think (with refering to the halfcut absorber last time).

within this week & last week,I've checked with few kedai at S. alam and also Bay Brother at PJ. Currently they don't have TOkico absorber stock.

Can anyone advise me urgently what to get this TOkico things?. Phone no is much appreciateable!!!.


I might need to let go my 4 Gab absorber cheap2. Just name me one price and of course i'll justify it immidiately. Whoever need it, just pm me.!!

I'm using a set of KONIs abs for my rear set up and deto ori for the front. All
equiped with 4 pcs of Apex sport springs. I've been using it like for a month,
so far no probs. only bothers me is the tyres touching / scratching my rear fenders
whenever i bring more loads.
Other than that, it's smooth and nice to drive with it. not too soft, not too hard.
