Can someone identify me this problem(4g15)

Hello,

Yesterday after vacuum my car, i suspect something at the steering rod under the dashboard, details can refer to pictures.

I see that there was a soft particles gathering around the connection rod. Is this a problem? or normal condition?can someone verify this to me..my car is Proton Satria 2001.tq

Looks like dirt or some wear and tear dust particles...

that's generally what 10 years of dust looks like. It's normal. Just vacuum it and wipe it off. Then regrease it.

the ingredients are road grime, grease, dust/dirt (from car interior). As long as the stuff is not metal shaving, then it is fine....

and also probably rotten foam/sponge used to insulate that area as well....

There no lah! stick shift there fully covered, unless behind seats and pockets.....lol
