Hey guys, did you all notice that proton doors like wira, satria and putra after used for few years the door sound like rotten iron hitting each others. Sound like old car.

Did anyone know how to restore back the original proton doors sound ????. I know replace the 4 doors to lancer type is better solutions but bare in mind replacing the 4 doors is costly expecially spray back the original car colour.

Just want to ask you all DIY king how to restore the door closing sound ??? any Idea ???

Thank' s in advance.

no lah ksgoh, even I change the door rubber is still the same. No different. The metal soud still very obvious ???? I think that a round metal stick at inside of the door.

try superlon-ing it.... should be better... cause i think i read somewhere b4 that superlon-ing ut door will give a solid door closing sound... hehe

wah.....superlon can apply everywhere ar?? where to install?? or just install as sound prrofing pattern??

I think have to call ninja to help out already. But One thing khaixtreme, you know the doors is always expose to rain and water would it be not lasting for the superloan ??? Just worry on how reliable of the superloan sticking on the doors ???

Use those bitumen strips will be the best... Or else, if you don't like those bitumen strips, use bitumen then... Buy those bitumen that comes in one small tong like paint then paint them inside your door for about 3 layers kau kau... This is what me and my friend did for our old cars...

Haha...

In any hardware shop you can get... It is from DUNLOP if not mistaken... Got other brand also lorr...

It is very thick and slimy... Like gam but black in colour... It can antirust your doors and sound proof your car doors if you have the patient to go on more than 3 layers...

hmn.. i wanna ask.. if any guy stick superlon or bitumen strip or any other things to the door panel? the inner metal layer.

coz i remove my door panel, the outer skin of the door is covered wif greese or wax thingy all over. i touch wif my hand and its sticky and greesy.

hope u get wat i mean. i'm referng to the door panel.. not the door frame. then outer skin of the door, from inside !

at first i wanna plan to stick superlon there but wif all those greese/wax i was thinking how am i suppose get superlon stick it strong there.

hmn hmn..

any ideal? i did pm ninja iga.. he say must not remove it.

ehehe
uhm...
i did it before already
well
that time i never listen or heard anyone saying anything about it lorr
so i just wash away the grease and stick a layer of bitumen strip
then only layer of superlon
so far so good
no rust or anything for there yet
