Between pioneer, kenwood, blaupunkt, clarion, panasonic and jvc, which one offer the best sound quality ? Im talking about the mid range HU that costs around RM700 like that. And im not gonna use any amp/subwoofer/watsoever. Maybe just change speakers and add tweeters.

Thanx

find second hand clarion...
with that price can get quite good one.

oit munky ... neway neway hard lah to compare liddat..every brand has it own quality .. u go sendiri try ah...if i were u i`ll go for pioneer ... their sounds is the best with their mosfet ,pricing also reasonable... but if ko nak spend more money .. get alpine lah .. mmg satisfaction one

alpine ? hmm will check it out. I dont think im gonna buy a used HU coz later if rosak or anything susah la. Unless still got warranty

alpine at that price... not consider mid range... la.. hhmmm i think no mp3 also...

Haiya, each HU got their own characteristics. Alpine is very bright. I don't like bright. Clarion is more mellow and warm. Which is why I have a new Clarion DBZ646 which costs 890 6 months back. Sure cheaper now since it's last years model. Pioneer oso quite good, for 700 can get lots of good models. But all in all, you gotta like the sound produced otherwise you buy the best Clarion (HXD2 btw) oso no use la.

so far ive used sony and blaupunkt for my car, and i like blaupunkt's sound, very clear and the bass is very nice. Unlike sony the bass is like very sharp, but blaupunkt's bass very bassy.
But my honda accord's standard HU which is a sony oldskool 2-din, sounds like my old blaupunkt. So it's kinda confusing.
Wat about kenwood ? my fren recommend me kenwood or alpine. My other fren recommend clarion. Susah la like this hehe

wut type of souond u prefere?? different HU produce different sound1..

how to describe ? hard to explain la. I listen to all kind of songs (rock,r&b, hip hop, pop, hardcore, metal, malay songs bla bla bla). And im not the type that likes to turn the volume until like wanna pecah speaker. And im not going to add any amps or subwoofer. Standard settings. Maybe change speaker only

Ok 1 more newbie question, how does fm booster works ? My fren told me those 2 din players with fm booster, can listen to local radio, but the frequency is lower than the actual frequency. Like for example red is 104.9 but on the radio maybe 94.9 something like that. Is this true ? can someone explain ? if no difference than i think wanna buy double din

U sure u want a double din? IMHO, Its a prime target for theives...

Most Japan spec HU's are tuned to Japan Feq and cannto work in lcoa frq.. so the booster will just modify the freq that our radio stations broadcast at and allow the HU's built in tuner to accept...

choose between clarion or alpine loo...
is alpine within ur budget, i think it will not a high end player, even i like more on a clarion725 than alpine 9853....

if Clarion DXZ846MC selling at Rm900. good buy or not har? said that is brand new set.

look like Clarion get more vote.

thanks and regards
