hey every bro here,
i'm driving an iswara aeroback with stock ice inside,
just get a new pioneer player wif 22w rms...
so i wonder if i only wanna spend wat will be the best setup?
i got some recommendation from some unknown ppl...
1, 6.5" component(front)
2, 5.25"component(front) + 6x9 3way (rear)
3, decent 6x9 3way(rear)
wats ur suggestion?
and i really duno wat brand to take ...mbq,ss,boschmann,blaupunkt.....
no idea how to choose.
i'm into SQ more, sometime a little bit SPL only....
thx...

Can try get a new Brothers 4 channel 1000watt amp - RM200
Any front component - RM200
Installation, RCA and cables - RM100

I think that'll do. Stay away from 6x9 as it'll be unbearable.

And stay away from brands like DLS, focal, Cerwin Vega, soundstream, MB Quartz...
Try to find Mohawk, BM Boschmann....

Just my 2 cents.

Your car not suitable either SQ or SPL... coz alot thing will chasing you in the future... vibration, rackling, water came inside & etc... if your car the new face model... more trouble...coz everything is plastic..door panel, dashboard ..I think just buy decent speaker (rear).. 6X9 coxcial 2way speaker like Alpine or Marchello.. I have frend got headache on his car after install ICe... just do a basic set-up ..can hear little bit bass enough loorrr... You need more $$$$$$$$$$$ to solve it next time..

ha..of course i'm not looking to boom my car until al the part come out.
i just wan some quality music rather than noise from my ori speaker.
my bro's car also iswara wif some ice add on, so far still ok lar.
my one was 99' aeroback, not the new one.

its better u spend that 500 bucks to find a good installer and do a better wiring and sound tuning for your current system.rm500....last time i also think like you,but finally i realise just could be a dream...

1 sentence

There is NO WAY you can get either SQ or SPL setup for RM500.

For a low budget of RM500, and you don't intend to spend on cheaper stuff, what do you expect to get?

If you really want to retain your RM500 budget, i would say it's better to keep more budget, or take your time to look for used branded parts where some owners are letting off at a reasonable price.

I would suggest you allocate your budget for a 2-channel amplifier and a good set of front components/coaxials and some decent RCAs(if you can find, get those custom made from Belden 1694A, they beat most of the cheaper RCA out there)

Then, later on the stage, you can add another 2-channel amp and get a SVC 4-ohm subwoofer, you'll definitely need it even though u might think you don't, most 6.5" can't play down to sub-bass levels. Hence, the subwoofer would be needed to enchance your musical enjoyment as it' plays the "missing" parts that your 6.5" couldn't play.

If you can still find CDT Cambria components/coaxials, they are pretty good stuff for the price they are going for nowadays. Definitely below RM500. Good luck!

ok guys, thanks for your advise.
forget about the SQ and SPL...
i'm only into a better quality sound than my ori iswara speaker.
never think of spending much amount in ICE.
but at least dun wan listen to noise inside my car la.
so..just wanna know around this budget normally can get wat kind of setup ma.
just went to a audio shop in melaka,
he advise me to hv component at front and 6x9 at rear for best sound in this budget la.
normal brand he offer me 5xx++
he suggest me to take mohawk for both comp set and 3way, around 800
wat did u guys think about mohawk?
maybe i'll take mohawk 3way and normal brand comp set.

my car is kenari and using mohawk 5" orange component & mb 700.2 2ch amp
so far i still feel ok becoz i m not ice kaki, and my set up is under RM500 becoz i got the lobang at that time.
my suggestion is install a pair of tweeter and a amp with sub 1st, iwas using newyork sound tweeter in kancil, so far so good.a lot of ppl said it would made u feel better than stock. in my opion, if u install component, maybe u will eager to add amp becoz yr HU cant feed yr component.

well ur kenari setup will be around 600-700 in normal shop i think
still got lobang?
yeah i know comp set without amp is not perfect.
but at least in this budget its the best solution am i right?
a pair of tweeter and a amp with sub> i wonder this exceed my budget quite much?

my tweeter about RM20++
2ch amp RM200++ and sub RM200++
left RM80 to fix
i think ok loh, lobang gone long time ago

my setup, i think mohawk orange 5"comp RM340
MB700.2 2ch amp RM350
cheapest install fee RM100
total RM790

thx for ur advise,
but i think its a little bit off budget for me,
for sub and amp, i think i'll replace it wif 3way around rm300,
on this stage i dun wan spend too much on ICE since i'm not addict on it.
but wat i was wonder is without an amp,
comp set and 3 way power by HU will it sound really bad?
i know its no fight compare wif amp,
but on this stage i just wan better sound than my ori speaker

ofcoz u can, when i was using iswara 1.5a sedan, as u say ,i bring the oem speaker from back to front door, and buy a pair of 6x9
so far so good, of coz i change the cassete hu to stria gti cd player
becoz i want to get 4 speaker output for surround feel

but the ori just kenot tahan my HU output la,
my HU got 22W rms, while my ori speaker was wrote 15W at behind
when my volume slight higher, the vocal was vibrate when bass come..sienzz..
so comp set +3way from HU is ok rite?
at least better than ori 3 or 4 times i'm satisfied...lol

i dun think so, maybe u try to install first, if really oem cannot tahan, then u change, dun forget about 6x9, that also got sound, dun think can be mobile disco
just better 1 times is enough
my fren use 10k to get good sound, how much u want to spend?

yup i know very well,
i'm just looking for best sound in my budget, not over it,
tats y seek for help here lo.
now i'm using ori 2 rear speaker wif power from HU only
volume turn up to around 14 vocal started breaking already...
but sounds ok when slow volume la..haha
rm500 shud can better than this gua?

My advice is still the same, concentrate on getting a good pair of front speakers powered by a 2-channel amplifier. Get used if possible as that opens up your options.

Since you are into enjoying your music, then you SHOULD concentrate on the speakers closest to you, forget about the rear speakers, leave it powered by the HU if you really need some sound coming from the back, but i would recommend disconnecting them as they would disturb with the front speaker's staging and sound.

ya i get ur idea bro..thx very much everyone here.
but i hope u all know i actually dun look for how nice outcome in this budget,
i know it just can be ok wif a few hundred setup, and tats wat i wan lo...hehe
i try if i can find some budget used amp around here,
but...i'm more noob in choosing an amp...damn
got an offer by zth member, its mohawk again
5' component + 100W rms 2 channel amp, new set
about 600.....

baby dun go,as i know , what comp he recomend and amp?should be cheaper!
if for comp, i dun think u need powerful, becoz yr comp didn't eat so much!
pm howiechoo to get suggestion!
and u haven count the install fee!
