Best engine to fit in Charade

In terms of reliability, maintenance, spare parts and body parts, what's the best engine to fit in the Daihatsu Charade, new and old model...?

Which model you're interested to know ?
For G100 it's good to have the GTti as its from its derivative. Meaning all part can plug and play without problems. Though I'm using Deto on my G100. ;)
G10 with Deto engine? Wow.... must be very powerful cause of the power to weight. But the weight distribution might be a little out if the suspension is stock

My friends all play with 4E with at least 150hp on the wheels (modified lah)...

The price that I quoted is including installation..For halfcut only, the price is like the following price..

GTti : RM3K - RM3.5K
4E : RM2.5K

installation is about 1200
then if the clutch need to be replaced than it will add abit..

the price given is with the clutch plate..
just to let you know you have to add about 100 for the engine oil and so on

I wanna put 4E in my G200 Charade 'cause GTti engine is rare and more expensive. One more problem guys, jpj only approve an increase of 25% of engine capacity (CC), so a 1.0cc engine swap to 1.3cc is out of this range already, will i get approval?? Anyone done this lately?

4E inside G200? mouting all must be touch and redo new.in term of JPJ.. if luck can pass.. if not.. stuck then need to change back ori engine.. ;)

jpj will aprove coz i just did atransplant which is more than 30%
you just hav to take the proper form and you have to personally go to putrajaya jpj bahagian teknik...

before you transplant ...buy the engine and then ask for approval ..after approve then only u swipe in...approval takes 1 week..

prepare documents like the custom letters ,resit of purchasse,photostat copy of the registration card and also the owners i/c

bro, careful wat ure convertin, 4e no doubt is powerful but think bout da registration, its not easy bro... mine converted since april, went 2 puspoakom 3 times redi wit a runner, all rejected even when i offered cash... now my registration hv 2 do somewhr else, now only approved... :D :D :D :D
how much 4 approvel wit all da mountings modified???? :blink: :blink: :blink:

Yes, engine registrations are very difficult now and I hear it will become even more difficult in the future. I suggest until you can find someone who can guarantee successful registration, don't go and do the conversion.

I think Rueben was lucky. As meandmybitch mentioned, even using runner nowadays is no guarantee.
