Air filter intake

Can anyone let me know wat is their recomendation for a better air-filter for the EK engines...

a) Apexi
b) HKS
c) K&N

Is the tube necessary to install??? Or is it better to use it direct???

all the same laaa....just go with ur budget and as long as you can wash it then it's ok.

K & N drop-in. No need to mod or install pipe/tubing..

yups you are correct! same with me.. but the different here the sound Vtec produce is not loud enough if compare with the rest open pod air filter...

For me i will choose HKS for open pod air filter coz their vtec sound superb n gave more pickup!

hmmm..it's still debatable here n there regarding this.....i'll go for SIMOTA RACING with the 'lintah' typer air ram...yeah bebeh...

but then again, coldest air intake system will still be the original stock air box system :)

Is it possible to remain the filter box n d ori hose but with a air power filter???
attached to d old hose so that d air isn't intaking from d air-con

u can use hks, k&n or blitz..hks u have to replace the sponge whereas k&n and blitz are washable..if can, custom a heat shield so that u can utilize the use of open air filter system..as J101 said, use the big size one with the simota or racecraft intake system for ek or eg...power beb...hehehe

me oso will go for simota "perut ikan"(RM200-250)or if u have lack of money u can go gor simota carbon fibered"perut ikan" will cost roughly RM600-700.

its the same, just that the CF ones are ala J'S Racing, lighter and more expensive :)
