2 chan is enough to power the sub.
no need amp for the speaker.(can also if u want lah)
last time i use to connect only the sub to amp.
but must do setup lah, if not the bass be louder than the music.
hahaha

bro, if u wanna take a kicker subwoofer then u should take a better 2channel monoblock amp for kick the kicker subwoofer. coz kicker subwoofer need a better monoblock amp for kick it. then u can take a 4channel for ur other component. such tweeter and mid bass. if ur budget is 2k for it.. mayb not enufff ler...

let's say i buy a 4 channel amp is 85 rms per channel
bridge it it shud b 170 rms is more than enuf 2 push d kicker sub since
it was require 150watts rms rite?

the remaining channel i power my clarion comp?..wil it over power n blow my
comp?..izit tuning shud solve d problem?

nola
i wil disconnect my 6x9...
help help
any advise i'll b appreciate~~~~~

What is your HU model? Since you are disconnecting your rear speakers, is it mean that you will use the front speakers only? Normally newer HU now got at least a pre-out. So you can use this pre-out to connect your future sub and amp. This pre-out normally is follow rea on your HU's fader settings, since you are not adding amp for your front speakers, is the best that you connect your front speakers to your HU's front and RCA on rear. In this way you will have better control for your sub's volume.

if u only can afford a low powered 2 ch amp for the sub and leave the comps powered by HU it would still be ok. but u are on the right track in disconnecting the 6x9 and worrying if the subs will overpower the fronts. so if u can afford a 4 ch amp, it would be better, dont worry if overpowering the front comps as u can minimize the amp gain for it and also make sure it dosnt play too low frequencies.

If your 6X9 is a 3 way one, the best is remove it or put a capacitor to bring down the bass from it. Anyway most of the 6X9 is more on to bass. As you are going to install a sub, better let the woofer punch the bass out rather than from others. Just imagine 6X9's bass plus your woofer's bass, you will get bass interference between them and your bass will become unreal.

i also need help here

can teach me how to cut off the rear speaker's bass? i want to cut it off too!!! i hav a sub that is directly below in the middle of my rear speaker... i think shud hav interference... can i DIY to cut off the bass??

Use a pair of capacitors with a value of 100uf to 250uf25V. Actually is more important on the uf value, voltage not important. But on this method you have to try and error. Normally you will not get it right on the first time. The cost for a capasitor is from rm0.5 to rm 3.

the capasitor shud be connected to where? the - + itself? where can i get the capasitor? any elecric shop?

ur cable from amp connect to the capasitor then from capasitor connect to ur speaker.. normally the acc. shop will selling it...

no amp

erm.. my rear speaker is not connected to amp... only my sub is connected to my amp... so, the cap shud be connected at the wire? b4 it enters the speaker?

okok thankx alot... i might do it tomorrow... but is there any pros n cons?

wat is pros and cons?? after 9 hour non stop class got a little blur. the mind cant think d...

erm.. izzit that i just need to install then can already?

Aiyah, forgot to say liao, it should be put on +ve cable then to +ve speaker. Don't ever ever buy from accessories shop, buy from electronic shop, is more cheaper over there.
