Accident Experiences

Hello all,

Just started this topic to share among us about our past experiences on INCIDENT or ACCIDENT .. remember that both are not the same. Incident is something yourself involved and accident is something happened without your knowledge.

Start mine:
Car Model? - 2002 PROTON WIRA
Location? - PORT KLANG SHIPPING AREA
Road condition? - WET
Incident? Accident? - ITS AN INCIDENT, I GO AND CRASHED
Tyre condition? - FACTORY STOCK 13" SIMEX 175-13-50

Happened in 2003, where i was driving and its was just stopped raining. Speed around 80km/h :ph34r: unable to stop in time when i see curve to right hand side. Hit huge tree and slight touch on TNB electricity pole car was stalled there. Stopped by passing by radiocar and towed to my friend's workshop at Puchong.

Claimed insurance around RM9k .. due to heavy chassis damage of left passenger side and broken dashboard mountings including shattered windscreen.

Bad incident .. i lowered my car the max .. and now .. cornering is possible with perfect handling. Now my car using all Turanza .. ;)

i was turning at a t junstion w/io looking..and carelessly..a kancil at 60-70km/h hit me while i was turning...he coudn;t stop because it was my fault....i didn;t saw him coming...and that ws a year ago

Hmz.... @ 2003, when jz got my license was speeding at opposite pyramid that road coming from ss19 when a motor suddenly turn out from a small road from my left and went to my lane.. avoid the motor but i was turning too much, lost control of my car and bang divider..

2004, Also @ Sunway, from the left want to cross to the right *illegal* to cable bridge connecting LDP.. cross onli kena bang on the side by lorry...

2005, Bang uncle's car from behind @ Metropolitan, Subang's round about :rolleyes:

1999 - rear tire hit a cement lump on the road and burst, was travelling around 70km at that time. Lost control and flipped on the side before landing next to a monsoon drain. Got out and 5 mins later, car went inside the monsoon drain nose in. Location? BU. Damage? RM 23k.

2004 - same location. Travelled to fast. Lost control and the rear slide to left, hit a tree stump and the car to flew to opposite lane and landed on 4 tires. It is like making a huge U turn. Entire front bottom - crossmember, gearbox, engine mountings, shafts and bumper gone. But my Titans survived with minor scratches. :D

As usual, City Hundred boys showed up in less than 5 mins. I ignored them and called up my mech who lives nearby. He came and chased the vultures away and took charge of my car. Damage? RM 7k.

Tow truck fella came and commented, "Wah, lucky you drive a VR4. If not, I won't be talking to you already." :blink:

Now I understand why... the last car he towed was a Wira with VR4, same accident but owner didn't survived. :(

INCIDENT also can be something that has happened to somebody else......not necessarily we must be involved in ???????????

"Accident" applies to events occuring without someone intentionally causing it... not necessarily involving damages or your knowledge of it also. :)

Only car accident Ive been involved in was driving unusually fast on a 3-2 lane bottleneck. On the left a taxi, on the right a mini-lorry. I was headed too fast into the bottleneck in the middle lane, taxi saw me and tried squeezing to the left as much as possible... not being able to brake in time, I had to accelerate past the taxi or it would have collided with the wall. When I did that I went too much to the right side and hit the truck at my rear, right fender above the tyres. (But I suspect the truck was driving abit towards my lane, else I shouldnt have hit him when I accelerated...)

Damage: ~RM600. :( Lesson learnt: Dont drive fast in busy places...

Sigh...an accident every year, 3 years in a row...doesnt that teach you something? Somemore you have only been driving 3 years....pls lar...learn from your mistakes..be more careful, pay attention on the road.

If this goes on..its only a matter of time b4 you serioulsy injure yourself or someone else.

2005-two months ago... i speed along mrr2 highway n lost control ...hit the divider and overturn into the drain :(

2004 july. was happily sliding in taman tar mountain pass in ampang. understeered. went sideways into longkang. repair cost RM800

2004 december after AMF, hit a car from behind. Federal highway. was paying attention to a certain car on the left. bang. didnt even brake :D :lol: claim insurance, dunno how much, father kau tim.

hopefully nothing else to add.

left sidemirror hit a lorry while playing with someone at federal. sidemirror pecah.

car out of control...at 160-170....chop of the lamp post...then flew into the opposite highway....luckily 2 cars avoided me....safe ass....consider total lost...write off....no point fix the car

1) trackday in sepang, broke a CV joint. 3k + 200 for towing

2) jalan loke yew. guy infront jammed his brake for a CAT!!! I hit his tail. 250for him, 700for me.

3) leisure mall traffic light, I was stationary, taillamp kena bang by the kangaroo bar from a isuzu trooper. New lamp = 450

4) leisure mall traffic light, opposite direction, rear passenger door strip kena scratch by motorcycle. New piece = 150, paint 50.

That's all I can remember
