I need help to modify 4AGE 16V.

I've seen some 4AGe 16V using 4 throttle.

How and wat items needed to convert the 16V's single throttle intake to using 4 throttle.

As I know, 16V is using MAF sensor.

change to a MAP sensor ecu..make the adaptor..combine 16v TPS wiring to 4throttle..settle the fuel rich on idling problem.............done...
 
Zul,

Tat means I need the following parts rite:

1. MAP ECU
2. 4 Throttle Manifold

Is there any other thing else?

Joeker, take it from me else you'll regret.

Answer 1 - cannot do cheaply, if you do not accept this answer, sorry! God also cannot help you, prepare to waste money to learn big mistakes. Mistakes you'll only realise many years later.

Answer 2 - if you accept cannot do cheaply, then this is the solution

A) Get 4 throttles from BT only, do not and never ever get SVT - sure Fcuk-up - most of the time the user / tuner won't even know it, SVT 4 throttles is fundamentally wrong.

BT 4 throttles is perfect :)

Something like that.

B) Make adaptor, piece of cake, pay machine shop to do. Go Ngai Sing. A bit pricy but guarantee good and no headache, no trouble-shooting, no downtime. Very important, this is to keep MORALE high without hiccup.

C) throw original ECU

D) Get stand-alone ECU, let veteran install and tune.

Done.




For all others, please don't tell me add this can add that can. Why?

Because at the end not smooth, cannot idle cun, power low rpm got, high rpm don't have, or vise versa, fuel economy sucks, pinging like mad, whatever shit.

I know you guys don't want to mention the sad things you guys experience. So you all know it doesn't work using the cheap way, so don't tell people can.

and if u mention using a standalone.......what for you use BT throttle???
i wont tell you the benefit of svt throttle except for the vacuum thingy..but since u stand aloned it......use TPS, no more vacuum problem right???........
and fyi..svt more suitable for 16v application coz of the roundness shape than Bt throttle.........

- How much is Black Top 4 ITB

- How much does this adapter cost?

- Is it really need to go Standalone? (cost lot of moolah wei!! :() what about piggybacks?

The 16V using 4ITB in the previous picture uses SAFC oni. But I've no clue about that car's idling nor fuel economy.
 
Modding 4 throttle into 16v is different because we only use the throttle part.

The part where the injector for the 20v is, we never use.

bt or st throttle also nm, just the size matter.

If required for street use, no choice still have to rely on MAP. TPS alone only syiok in race, but not 100% on street :(

I always talk TPS only because easy to tune. Once that part done, still need MAP. You've tune MAP before, nightmare right???

Dont think the adapter will be RM 400.00.

If you were thinking of getting a single adapter the price will be atleast RM 1000.00. I have been explaining on the type of adapter available in the market.

There is 3 type of 4 throttle adapter.

First one is grinding out from a billet alluminium which is the most recommended one and also it looks the best. They are the most expensive way.The billet ones will cost about about RM 1000.

Second type is by doing one piece thin of manifold adapter and another thin piece of 4 throttle adapter. Then join them together by welding them. Much cheaper concept but looks messy because of the welding line.The welded ones will cost about RM 800 or so, never try before but i dont really recommend it because it will have some side effect after using a while. 6061 and 7075 cannot be expose to direct heat like welding and melting. The alluminium composite will change, for example: alluminium adapter which went through welding process need skimming because the adapter composite has been change and uneven. The welded join place will become software, after using for sometime it will start cracking.

Third one is by casting. The cheapest way by quantity,quality will be like original manifold.The third one is the cheapest one. Most probably less than RM 500 but need to have a huge quantities. Need to pay for the tooling cost which is the mold cost.
In order to get to that price, i think you will get about 50 pieces.

The cheapest standalone ecu will be from Ipoh, Mr. Leow. I think he is selling at RM1500.00.

No other way, must stand-alone. If piggy bag you'll regret for life never listen to me. Go ahead and do it, I dare you.

GT20v - I also no mood to repeat, but when you succesfully apply your method please let me test the car :) - don't tell me things like sacrifice low end for high end, in this modern day of era, everything is realised as important.


Synchron - Don't always think high-end products lah, there is allot of machine-shop which will do it for RM400 or less.

Ngai Seng does one very beautiful one, but I don't know how much he charge, if not mistaken, should be RM400 only. Why? because he charge me FD caliper bracket RM300 for a pair including installation.

I saw him making a SVT 4 throttles adaptor for a MIVEC 2 weeks ago. Didn't ask him how much, sorry, was asking my own things only.

BTW Ngai Seng have spare head lying around as template. Just buy the 4 throttles that you want to use, bring there pass to him and tell him what engine you want to bolt on to and he'll settle the rest. Fast also. In one week.

For my FD caliper bracket, one day only :)

eehhhh sifoo acoustic ... pasang your FD caliper liauu kaaa ??? since ready liauuu must pasang maa .. leave at home for what ??? heheheheehehe ... or the calipers kena your rims ??? :P

i oso believe the adapter can be made for around RM400 or so laaa ... no need RM1000 .. if RM 1000 then hailatt liauu the workshop make mega $$$ liauuu ... heheheehehee ... and your throat oso got big big parang liauuu ... huahahahahahaaa

one more thing ... there is this 16v 4AFE pasang 4ITB ... he is using stock ECU with SAFC ... quite ok maaaa .... except abit rich laa since he using injectors from 20v ... huahhahahaaaa ... kasi tune fueling down with SAFC then much better liauu ... idling no probs ... power gain at high RPMs oso quite significant ...

please dont whack kow me sifoo acoustic coz i know nothing one ... simply tok tok only one ... heheheheehheeheee
 
To buy a billet 6061 billet allumium already RM 200.00.

Dont tell me his workmanship including the billet alluminium is RM 400.00.
