20V ideling problem ... Need help..

Hi.. I have same problem with my 20V ST. It's difficult to ideling espesially in cold conditions. Need to press the throtle if not ...... the sound like one of the cylinder not running. It's getting better after the engine become hot.. but still not nice. Anyone facing the problem before please sharing the info... thanks..

If I am not wrong, there is a part call the idling valve in the SVT that can be a problem.

Hi ZZ4342,
1) clean the ISCV and the ITB.
2) check your ECU since your problem might be killing the ECU already.

Hi ZZ4342,
Can u see the ISCV at 4_throttle's photo? Its difficult to reach. Some mech have to remove the whole ITB (the complete 4 throttle mechanism) to reach the ISCV. Some mech don't know where it is and mess up the thing finally.... So it is advisable to go to the work shop who have good experience on 20V engine.
Yes it can be DIY, but u have to be at least at Datuk EFN's hands on experience, knowledge and lots of tools and finger plaster :lol:

last time they dig it out and clean clean.. put back..
still couldn't check out the problem... then charge me RM80
til now my bt still pull very high rpm whenever the water gauge
drop a bit cooler.. when it is hot enough, it idle normal again.

normal car, when u rev rev then the car will release the high idle
even tough it is cold right? mine won't...

Y don u go to ah tiam at sekama road ?? he is quite familiar with 4ag.... even his 86 running 20v bt too..... he is not bad but sometimes charge slightly higher only.... try ur luck loh

at the back of shops, near the wui seng car accesory?
if tht is the one, i've been there.
he solved my SVT idle problem... but he doesn't want
to check my BT.... he said wait til big problem baru find
him wo.... walao... my FC is kinda high compared to the
SVT. and this BT ain't giving me the performance like the
SVT do... regret regret...

chin has told me to adjust the TPS... but i can't even unscrew
it... :(

water gauge=water temp right???

maybe ur water temp sensor roak or the wire putus..check that..at the thermostat area...
